Natalia & Iain Modern Wedding in Val d'Orcia
(Photo by Nina Claire) Natalia and Iain got married in a very hot Summer Saturday in the heart of the beautiful Val d’Orcia. They embraced a “less is more” approach that turned out to be very effective. Keeping it minimal was very intentional; they decided not to have over-the-top details and wanted to create a slightly rustic vibe that was all about creating a feeling of simplicity and comfort. They ditched flowers almost entirely, left aside the bouquets and a cake cutting backdrop. For the ceremony, they wanted the expansive view to be the absolute focal point, along with them standing against it, and they chose nothing more than an earthy color rug as their “altar”. The result was surprisingly beautiful and the bridal and bridesmaids artfully messy bouquets played an important part as well. Stationery was clean and contemporary and the dinner tables set up with neutral colors items, were decorated with a leafy light ruscus runner and slim black metal candlestick holders. The wicker plate charger and the napkins tided in a knot gave to the table a hint of rustic that matched so well with the ambiance. Lastly, a total white plain layered wedding cake with a touch of feathery green, came as a surprise with its 5 different flavors for the guests to enjoy.
